Part-time Accounts Assistant

Overview

Highly successful and expanding SME require part time Accounts Assistant for a 4 day a week, on-site position, based on-site at superb offices, in Weybridge. Salary is 30-35K on a pro rata basis.

About the role

Reporting to the Finance Director the part-time Accounts Assistant will undertake a varied role that will manage all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable. Key duties include:

* Accurate allocation of customer receipts to the company accounting system

* Checking and processing of supplier invoices to ensure prompt payments

* Reconciliation of any outgoing payments to ensure correct allocation across all supplier accounts

* Perform monthly bank reconciliations across multiple bank accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.

* Checking and payment of employee expense claims

* Support month-end and year-end processes including statutory accounting and monthly reporting.

* Responding to any queries from external and internal departments.

* Provide general support to the wider finance and commercial teams including assisting with audit preparation, data entry, document management, and reporting.

About you:

* You will have a minimum of 3 years Accounts experience and have a good understanding of both accounts payable and receivable

* In addition you will be a proactive individual with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels

* The successful applicant will be a dedicated team player with strong IT skills including; MS Word, Excel and knowledge of current accounting systems
