Part Time Bookkeeper

Part-Time Bookkeeper - Innerleithen
1.5 Days Per Week (Flexible)
£24,000 - £28,000 FTE (Pro Rata)

We're recruiting on behalf of a growing local business in Innerleithen for a Part-Time Bookkeeper. This is an ideal role for someone looking for flexible work close to home, with hybrid options available.

You'll take ownership of the day-to-day financial tasks using Xero Accounting Software, supporting smooth financial operations.

• Reconcile bank accounts via Xero

• Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding

• Produce weekly accounts payable reports

• Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns

• Make sure PAYE payments are submitted on time

• Assist with:

  • Monthly and year-end close

  • Shopify sales and payment reconciliation

  • Fixed asset register and depreciation

  • Prepayments, accruals, and salaries

• Support with non-sterling payments and costing

• Liaise with external accountants as needed

• Experience in a similar bookkeeping or finance role

• Confident using Xero (or similar software)

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Able to work independently and manage your own time

• Bonus: Experience with Shopify or eCommerce systems

• Competitive salary: £24,000 - £28,000 FTE
