Part-time Bookkeeper

Position Details:

• Role: Bookkeeper
• Annual Salary: Competitive (details upon application)
• Job Type: Part-time (25 hours per week) with some hybrid working
• Location: Close to Stratford station, East London

Responsibilities:

• Complete client bookkeeping from source documents using Xero and other accounting software
• Prepare and analyse VAT returns
• Maintain or check fixed asset registers
• Manage time effectively to ensure tasks are completed within budget
• Maintain clear and effective communication with clients and team members to ensure smooth operation and client satisfaction

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in double-entry bookkeeping
• Strong literacy and numerical skills
• Proficiency in accounting software including Xero, Sage, Freeagent, QuickBooks, and Excel
• Up-to-date technical knowledge in the field
• Ability to deal with different types of people and manage a broad workload
• Excellent organizational skills, capable of handling multiple tasks
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
