Part-Time Bookkeeper - Accountancy Practice

We’re working with a respected independent firm in Northamptonshire who are looking for a Bookkeeper to join their outsourced services team on a part-time basis.

You’ll work with a range of owner-managed businesses, helping to keep their books in shape and supporting their success with accurate, timely financial records.

What the role looks like:
You’ll be responsible for bookkeeping across a portfolio of SME clients, including processing invoices, reconciling bank statements, managing VAT returns, and preparing monthly reports.

The role will involve regular client contact, so communication and service skills are just as important as technical accuracy. You’ll be supported by a close-knit team and trusted to manage your own workflow in a relaxed, flexible environment.

What they’re looking for:

• Solid experience in bookkeeping, ideally within an accountancy firm or outsourced service
• Comfortable using software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
• Confident managing VAT returns and monthly reconciliations
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
• Friendly, proactive and comfortable speaking with clients
• A team player who enjoys supporting others
