Job Opportunity: Part-Time Church Caretaker – South Croydon

My client, a welcoming and community-focused Church based in South Croydon, is currently seeking a Part-Time Church Caretaker to join their team on a long-term temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, supporting local events, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors.

• Job Title: Church Caretaker
• Location: South Croydon
• Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour
• Type: Temporary (Ongoing, long-term)
• Pay Frequency: Weekly (Every Friday)
• Driving Licence: Not required

As the Church Caretaker, your duties will include:

• Event Support: Assisting with the setup, breakdown, and smooth running of community events and church activities.
• Maintenance: Performing minor repairs and general upkeep of the church premises.
• Cleaning & Safety: Ensuring all areas are clean, tidy, and safe for visitors, staff, and congregation members.
• General Assistance: Providing support to church staff and volunteers as needed.

Please note that working hours may vary slightly depending on scheduled events and activities.

• Monday: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Tuesday: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM

• Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility
• Friendly and approachable with good communication skills
• Comfortable with light manual work and basic maintenance tasks
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and willing to adapt to changing schedules and needs
