Part-time Commercial Contracts Counsel - 3-4 days pw - West Midlands HQ (Hybrid) - £70,000 FTE

Long-standing, well-known West Midlands employer is looking to hire an in-house commercial contracts solicitor on a part-time basis to support the Head of Legal. Joining a team of 4, you will be a commercial contracts subject matter expert, lead on the review and negotiation on a range of commercial agreements across the business.

As the first role of this kind with the business you will ideally be able to design process, promote efficiencies and run internal training.

As well as a range of BAU commercial matters, (procurement, sales, customer, regulatory) they are also beginning an really interesting digital transformation project which will require a harmonisation process.

You will have the support of a a legal officer and paralegal so you will enjoy a mentoring role.

As a brand new role this is initially offered on a 12 month contract as that period will help both parties really drill down on the key priorities and shape the role moving forward. It ultimately will be a permanent role to suit.

Ideally you will have 5+ years PQE in Commercial Contracts and able to take the lead on commercial and contract law.

We can be flexible on days to suit the individual and open to 3 or 4 days a week (1-2 days on the West Mids HQ)
