Part time Domiciliary support worker-Northwich UK

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-time Domiciliary Support Worker to join our team in Northwich, UK. As a valued member of our organisation, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

• Assist service users with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Support with medication management, ensuring correct dosages and timely administration
• Help with meal preparation and feeding when required
• Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment
• Provide companionship and emotional support to service users
• Accompany service users to appointments or social activities as needed
• Monitor and report any changes in service users' health or wellbeing
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and any incidents or concerns
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and safeguarding procedures
• Access to your own motor vehicle or motorbike/bike

• Previous experience in domiciliary care or a similar care-giving role is preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Physical fitness to assist with mobility and personal care tasks
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Compassionate and patient-centred approach to care
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills for accurate record-keeping
• NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care is desirable, or willingness to work towards this qualification
• First Aid certification is advantageous
• Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred due to the nature of the role
• Understanding of person-centred care principles and safeguarding procedures
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and training
