An award winning production agency are hiring for a part-time accounts payable assistant to join their team in a 9 month maternity cover.

With a nurturing team on hand to support you, this is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their finance career or an experienced finance assistant looking to juggle other life commitments with work.

Responsibilities - Finance Assistant

• Invoice Processing: Accurately process a high volume of supplier invoices in line with company procedures, ensuring they are coded correctly and approved
• Supplier Account Management: Maintain accurate supplier records, including setting up new suppliers, and handle queries promptly and professionally
• Reconciliation: Assist with the monthly reconciliation of supplier statements, investigating and resolving any discrepancies
• Month-End Support: Support the finance team with month-end close procedures, including account reconciliations and reporting as needed
• Data Maintenance: Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all filing is up to date
• Ad Hoc Duties: Provide additional administrative and finance support as required by the team.

The Person - Finance Assistant

• Immediately available
• Proactive & confident approach with the ability to communicate with staff at all seniority levels
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and record-keeping
• Previous experience in a accounts payable or finance admin role
• A-Level education or equivalent is preferred; a finance or accounting-related qualification (AAT or similar) is a plus
• Prior experience using Xero is preferable, but not essential
