Are you an organised and detail-driven finance professional looking for part-time hours in a friendly, professional environment? NJR Recruitment is working with a well-established Independent Financial Advice (IFA) firm based in Grimsby, who are now looking to appoint a Finance Assistant to join their back-office team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong numerical skills and ideally experience dealing with fees, commissions, or financial services accounts, who’s looking for a flexible, part-time role within a supportive business.

The Role:

Working closely with the firm’s Finance Manager and Directors, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and reconciling fee and commission payments from providers
• Tracking and recording adviser revenue
• Producing regular financial reports and income statements
• Liaising with advisers and providers to resolve discrepancies
• General finance support including data entry and reconciliation
• Supporting the team with ad hoc financial tasks

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong numeracy and accuracy skills
• Experience in a finance, accounts, or billing role
• Ideally familiar with fees, commissions, or income reconciliation in a financial services setting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (e.g. Xero, Sage, Intelligent Office - desirable)
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Able to work independently as part of a small, collaborative team
