Part-Time Financial Controller | Central Nottingham | 3 days

Great opportunity for a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) to join a highly successful, employee-owned SME with ambitious growth plans. This is a part-time role (3–4 days per week), supporting a portfolio FD and leading a small finance team of 3.

Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 FTE + Car Allowance + 5% Monthly Bonus + Matched Pension + Private Healthcare + Life Assurance + more

This is a hands-on role that blends operational responsibility with strategic input. One of the key priorities is to develop a robust financial framework that supports the next phase of the company’s growth. You’ll sit as part of the senior leadership team and play a visible role in shaping the future of the business.

• Part-time: 3–4 days per week (flexibility on how hours are spread)
• Hybrid working: typically 3 days in the office, 1 from home
• Member of the Senior Management Team

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and review of monthly group management accounts
• Consolidation of monthly financials and contribution to Board pack
• Production of statutory and consolidated group accounts
• Lead and manage a team of 3
• Cash flow forecasting and treasury management
• Oversee monthly payroll and coordinate annual audit
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and insight to support decision-making

About You:

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Broad experience across financial reporting, FP&A, tax, VAT, audit, and payroll
• Comfortable working autonomously and managing a varied workload
• Enjoys driving improvement and contributing to business growth
