Job Description - Part Time Foundation Learning Lecturer

Job Advert – Part-Time Lecturer (Foundation Studies)

We are looking for a dedicated part-time lecturer to join our team teaching Foundation Studies, with a focus on Access to FE programmes. This role involves supporting learners to build independence and prepare for employment or further education. You will also play a key role in developing and enhancing the programmes within this area.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging teaching sessions within Foundation Studies, particularly Access to FE courses
Support learners in developing skills for independence and progression
Prepare students for Functional Skills qualifications
Contribute to curriculum development and programme improvement
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high standards of teaching and learning

Requirements:

Degree in a relevant subject or a minimum Level 3 qualification with substantial teaching experience in Foundation Learning
Experience teaching Functional Skills within Foundation Learning
Up-to-date knowledge of best practices in Foundation Studies
Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the Further Education sector is desirable

Hours:
14.4 hours per week

Salary:
£32,455 to £45,260 per annum (pro rata for part-time)
