Part time Locum Pharmacist - Community Pharmacy - Bedford

Locum Pharmacist Required – Busy Community Pharmacy (Bedfordshire)

Are you a Pharmacist looking for a new challenge within a supportive and patient-facing community pharmacy? We are working with an established independent pharmacy in Bedfordshire who are seeking a Locum Pharmacist to join their team on a part-time locum basis.

Location: Community Pharmacy – Bedfordshire (Free on-site parking)
Schedule: October start. 3 set days per week – Monday, Wednesday & Thursday, 9am–5pm (30-min lunch). Potential for these days to increase.
Rate of Pay: £25 – £30 per hour DOE
Contract Length: Initial 6-month contract (scope to extend and increase days in future)

What You’ll Be Doing:
In this role, you will act as the Responsible Pharmacist, ensuring compliance with GPhC regulations and maintaining the highest standards of patient care. Duties will include:

• Dispensing and checking NHS and private prescriptions

• Providing advice and support to patients on medicines, minor ailments, and healthy living

• Delivering pharmacy services such as NMS, flu vaccinations, and other enhanced services where applicable

• Ensuring the safe and legal operation of the pharmacy in line with GPhC standards

• Supervising and supporting the pharmacy team to deliver excellent patient service

Requirements & Qualifications:

• GPhC-registered Pharmacist (all levels considered, including newly qualified at a lower rate)

• Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach

• Ability to work independently as the sole on-site pharmacist

• Previous experience in a community pharmacy setting is desirable but not essential
