Part time - Management Accountant

Our client is an innovative and forward-thinking engineering business known for pushing boundaries and delivering cutting-edge solutions. As they continue to grow and evolve, they are now looking for a part-time Management Accountant to join their finance team and support the CFO with day-to-day financial operations.

This is a hands-on and varied role, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic SME environment. You’ll be responsible for preparing the management accounts to a board-ready pack.The monthly management accounts process takes approximately three days, with the rest of your time focused on core finance responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly management accounts to board pack level

Posting of purchase and sales invoices

Submitting payroll and liaising with external providers as needed

Handling credit card reconciliations and staff expenses

Assisting with corporation tax calculations and submissions

Managing pension submissions and compliance

Supporting cashflow forecasting and daily/weekly cash management

General ledger maintenance and month-end processes

Supporting the CFO with ad hoc financial tasks and continuous process improvements

We are looking for a qualified or part-qualified Management Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience with solid experience in preparing management accounts from start to finish. Comfortable with transactional finance and happy to get hands-on. This would suit someone who who values flexibility and enjoys working in a collaborative team

The role is approx. 30 hours per week, ideally spread across 5 days. One day per week can be worked from home. The company is supportive of working around childcare and can offer flexibility around working hours
