Job Description - Part-Time Management Accountant CIMA -Qualified

Job Title: Part-Time Management Accountant (CIMA -Qualified)
Location: Harlow (Hybrid – 1 day office/ 1 day remote
Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 pro rata

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time (2 days per week)

Overview:

A successful and forward-thinking organisation based in Harlow is seeking an experienced CIMA-qualified Management Accountant to join their leadership team on a part-time basis. This is a unique opportunity to play a strategic role in shaping the financial future of a dynamic business while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. As a key member of the leadership team, you’ll be responsible for delivering timely and insightful financial reporting, supporting strategic planning, and ensuring ongoing compliance. You will also serve as Company Secretary, providing governance support and oversight of corporate obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic goals
  • Create and maintain financial models to aid in business planning and decision-making
  • Partner with senior management, offering financial insight and guidance
  • Oversee year-end audits and liaise with external auditors
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies
  • Fulfil Company Secretary duties, maintaining corporate governance standards

Requirements:

  • CIMA-qualified (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Proficient in financial systems with strong Excel and data analysis skills
  • Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving ability
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
