Happy Nest Nanny & Maternity Agency is recruiting a reliable, experienced, and engaging part-time nanny for a welcoming family based in Westcliff-on-Sea, Southend-on-Sea. This is a live-out position, ideal for a professional nanny who is confident, organised, and holds a full driving licence.

Location: Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex 
Days: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday
Hours: 1:00pm -6:00pm (15 hours per week)
Rate of Pay: £18 gross per hour
Children: One child, aged 4

Role Overview:
The nanny will be responsible for collecting the child from school and providing after-school care in a safe and stimulating environment. Responsibilities include supporting with early years learning and homework, preparing a healthy evening meal, and ensuring a calm end-of-day routine. The child enjoys numbers, Lego, painting, and active outdoor play, so the nanny should be creative and energetic.

Key Responsibilities:

• School pick-up and transport home (a driver with own car is essential; mileage will be reimbursed)
• Preparing and serving a nutritious dinner for the child
• Supporting with reading, learning activities, and age-appropriate play
• Light housekeeping duties related to the family, including laundry, tidying play areas, and keeping the kitchen clean after meals.

Additional Information:

• The family employs a gardener and cleaner
• Both parents work from home on Fridays and occasionally on another day during the week

Start Date: Monday 8th September 2025
Experience Required: A minimum of 2 years professional nanny or childcare experience

Essential Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS certificate (on the update service or willing to obtain)
• Paediatric First Aid certificate (up to date)
• Excellent references from previous childcare roles
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
