Job Description - Part time Outreach Support Worker



Are you looking to make a difference to someone’s life ? Are you currently in a support role or domiciliary care role and looking for the next step in your career? If so we are recruiting for an Outreach Support Worker

Our client is a non-profit organisation working with people to support their health and wellbeing. Established for over 30 years, they have provided services alongside a variety of statutory and voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) colleagues in Surrey and its boarders. They believe change is achievable when offered by a flexible, respectful, inclusive and a non-judgemental approach.


Salary: £24,000 Per Annum (pro rata for part time hours)

Hours: Open to discussion – Will consider full time, part time and sessional hours

Duration: 2 year contract

Location – Client base is across Surrey and you will be assigned to individuals to reduce travel time as much as possible so is dependent on your location and client needs

Our client takes pride in the high standard of services it provides to people with complexities, vulnerabilities and/or high risk needs. The team has a ‘can do’ attitude and often works long term with people where mainstream services are not appropriate. They offer a range of services which includes assertive outreach and support packages for people who are hard to engage with. Services include teaching life skills, socialisation, finances and paperwork, maintaining clients homes environment and they also work with hoarders.

Using a keywork approach you will be responsible for all aspects of delivering the service in 1-2-1 regular support provisions, working in line with care plans from commissioning services. Over time you will get to build relationships of trust, always remaining non-judgemental and taking small steps to make a difference. It is an extremely rewarding role working with vulnerable individuals in the community.

Our ideal applicant will have/be;

  • Experience working within a social care or mental health environment is preferred
  • Reliability is crucial, as you will join a loyal team dedicated to supporting and safeguarding some of the most vulnerable in our community
  • Must drive and have own transport and able to travel to different locations on a daily basis
  • An understanding of Safeguarding policy and practise
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
