A rare opportunity has arisen for a part time or full time Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or highly experienced Conveyancer who’s looking to step away from managing a permanent caseload. This well-established and highly respected conveyancing team is seeking a dedicated professional to provide full-time holiday and absence cover across the department — with the role offered on a fully remote basis.

About the Role:

In this unique position, you’ll step in to manage files while fee earners are on leave, ensuring a seamless service for clients and stakeholders. You’ll handle a broad range of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity.

You’ll work directly with Clients, Estate Agents, Lenders and Solicitors to ensure transactions progress smoothly and are completed in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage residential conveyancing matters in the absence of regular fee earners
• Review titles, contracts, search results and supporting documents
• Draft and check legal paperwork such as contracts, transfer deeds and mortgage documentation
• Communicate professionally with clients and third parties to keep transactions on track
• Oversee all stages of the conveyancing process, including exchange, completion and post-completion tasks

What You’ll Need:

• Qualification as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or significant experience in residential conveyancing
• Proven ability to handle a busy residential property caseload independently
• Strong knowledge of UK conveyancing procedures and property law
• Experience using Land Registry systems and search platforms
• Membership with a professional body such as the Law Society or CLC is an advantage, but not essential
