Job Title: Part-Time Science Lecturer
Location: Tower Hamlets
Contract Type: Temporary
Start Date: 27th August 2025
End Date: 31st October 2025 (with potential to extend)
Days: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
Hours: Part-Time (3 Days/Week) 9-5
Pay Rate: £28.43 per hour

About the Role: We are currently recruiting for a Science Lecturer to join a dedicated and forward-thinking college team starting in August 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic educator to deliver high-quality science teaching to both 14–19 learners and adult students, across Entry Level to Level 3.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Science lessons
Teach across a range of qualifications including GCSE Science, BTEC Applied Science, and Access to HE
Deliver at least one subject at Level 3 – Biology or Chemistry
Collaborate with the Senior Curriculum Manager and wider teaching team
Contribute to curriculum planning and continuous improvement
Participate in CPD and professional development activities

Essential Requirements:

A degree (or equivalent) in Biology, Chemistry, or a related science field
A recognised teaching qualification
Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills
Experience teaching science in a secondary, FE, or adult learning environment is highly desirable
