Part Time Semi Senior Accountant

We're recruiting for a part time Semi Senior Accountant to join a market leading accountancy practice based in Tenterden. Our client is seeking an experienced part-time Assistant Accountant to join their team either 3 or 4 days a week. The successful candidate will ideally be studying the AAT, or be AAT qualified, or qualified by experience with a minimum of 2-3 years experience in practice.

Within this position, the successful candidate will be given excellent opportunities to progress within their technical ability, and career while working with a supportive team around them.

Our client services a range of local owner managed businesses from sole traders, through to Ltd companies and partnerships.

• Preparation of statutory accounts
  
• Preparation of, or support with management accounts for a variety of clients
  
• Preparation of corporate tax and personal tax computations
  
• Preparation of VAT returns
  
• General bookkeeping using cloud software- Xero, QuickBooks, Sage etc.
  
• Supporting the directors with ad-hoc advisory work
  
• Assisting more junior members of staff
  

This is a really exciting part-time opportunity to be part of a modern, forward thinking and supportive chartered accountancy practice in Maidstone.

• You will be AAT qualified or part qualified, or qualified by experience.
  
• You will have a minimum of 2 years experience within practice.
  
• Experience of cloud software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks would be advantageous.
  

• £25,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
  
• Part time, 3 or 4 days a week.
