Teaching Assistant (Part Time) – KS2

Right Education is proud to be supporting a friendly, welcoming primary school in recruiting a part-time Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with two Key Stage 2 pupils across the week, with your time split between them on different days. Both pupils have additional needs associated with autism, so the school is looking for someone who is patient, understanding and able to build positive, trusting relationships that help each child thrive.

Set within a small rural primary school, this is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a close-knit team where every member of staff plays an important role. The school sits between Malton and Pocklington, making it easily accessible by car from the surrounding villages and market towns. Due to its rural location, the role is not suitable for candidates who rely on public transport.

The role will involve:

Providing 1:1 support to two KS2 pupils across different days of the week.

Supporting pupils with autism to access learning and develop confidence within the classroom.

Working closely with the class teachers and SEND team to deliver consistent, individualised support.

*

Encouraging independence while adapting your approach to meet each pupil's needs.

*

Promoting a calm, positive and inclusive learning environment.

We're looking for someone who:

Has experience working within a primary school setting.

*

Has previous experience supporting children with autism or additional learning needs.

*

Is patient, resilient and nurturing in their approach.

*

Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with staff and parents.

*

Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain one.
