Part-Time Year 6 Teacher April to July 2025 Kensington

A highly respected primary school in Kensington is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Part-Time Year 6 Teacher to join their team from April 2025 until July 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about helping children prepare for the transition to secondary school, providing an enriching educational experience in a supportive and dynamic environment.

The Role:

• Teaching a Year 6 class and delivering engaging, curriculum-based lessons in all subject areas, with a strong focus on preparing students for the transition to secondary school.


• Planning and delivering differentiated lessons to ensure all students are challenged and supported according to their individual needs.


• Preparing students for Key Stage 2 SATs, providing targeted support and intervention where necessary.


• Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing feedback and setting targets to help students achieve their full potential.


• Creating a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel confident and motivated to succeed.


• Collaborating with the Year 6 team and other teaching staff to ensure a consistent approach to teaching and learning across the year group.


• Communicating regularly with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and areas for development.

The Ideal Candidate:

• 
  Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Year 6 or similar primary year groups.


• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and SATs preparation.


• Experience in delivering high-quality teaching and learning in Year 6, with a focus on differentiation and student progress.


• Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.


• Passionate about helping students reach their potential, with a focus on preparing them for the next stage in their education.


• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with students, parents, and staff.


• Proactive, enthusiastic, and committed to making a difference in the lives of students.
