Part-Time Finance Manager

Near Kidlington, Oxfordshire | 1–2 days per week | Flexible hybrid working | £25–£35 per hour, depending on experience and engagement basis

The Burford Recruitment Company is seeking an experienced finance professional to support the owners of a private estate with the financial and administrative running of their businesses and household.

This is a varied, largely independent role that could suit someone who works with other clients or needs flexibility around existing commitments. You’ll attend the property one day a week, with much of the remaining work completed remotely. The owners are overseas for part of the year.

The role includes:

* Maintaining financial records in Xero and spreadsheets across two companies

* Managing invoices, payments, bank accounts, credit cards, debtors and creditors

* Preparing cash flow projections, budgets, financial reports and quarterly VAT returns

* Reviewing payroll prepared by external accountants, making payments and maintaining pension and HR records

* Preparing year-end records and schedules, working with the external accountants

* Calculating leaseholder recharges and responding to occasional related queries

* Coordinating insurance, utilities and vehicle renewals, along with scheduled property inspections and compliance appointments

You’ll need strong bookkeeping or finance management experience, confidence with Xero and spreadsheets, and the judgement to manage deadlines and sensitive information with care. Experience supporting a private estate, property business or small group of companies would be helpful, but isn’t essential.
