Job Description - Payroll Administrator

Are you an experienced Part-time client payroll professional looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity within a fast-paced and creative environment? This could be the role for you.

An established and highly regarded advisory firm is looking for a Payroll Administrator to join their specialist Business Management team, supporting a diverse portfolio of clients across the music, entertainment, media and sports industries.

Please note: This role requires experience with client payroll only — internal payroll experience will not be suitable for this position.

The Role:
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for managing and processing client payrolls, answering queries, and ensuring all relevant reporting is completed accurately and on time. This is a 20-hour per week position with flexible working hours across four days, including Fridays.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Process weekly and monthly client PAYE payrolls
  • Manage pension contributions and PAYE liabilities, including Direct Debit processing
  • Liaise with HMRC, directors, and internal teams regarding payments and reporting
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and file RTI submissions
  • Provide ad hoc payroll support where required
What We’re Looking For:
  • Must have experience processing payroll for multiple external clients (client payroll)
  • Familiarity with Sage 50 or a similar accounts/payroll package
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and confidentiality
  • Positive, proactive attitude and a collaborative team player
