Job Description - Payroll & Accounts Assistant

A valued client of Edwards & Pearce is seeking an addition to the finance team and they're flexible with full or part time hours. The successful candidate will be fully conversant with all aspects of payroll and associated HR. You will also be required to assist with transactional accounts and be an integral member of the wider team.

THE ROLE
Flexible with full time OR part time hours and office based OR hybrid.
Accurately process all aspects of weekly payroll including pensions and expenses.
Oversee HR and admin associated to payroll.
Liaise with HMRC and have the knowledge and initiative to solve queries.
Assist with transactional accounts inc. purchase ledger, reconciliations and all related admin and account queries.
To be an integral member of a highly supportive and friendly team.

THE CANDIDATE
Must be time served and able to take responsibility for processing end to end payroll.
Possess high personal standards, poise and professionalism.
Have the knowledge to assist with transactional accounts such as purchase ledger and reconciliations, though this could well develop over time.
Maintain focus and accuracy when facing strict deadlines.
Knowledge of Sage and CIS would be an advantage (But not essential).

BENEFITS:
Salary: circa £28,000 (FTE)
Flexible hours
Hybrid
Early finish Friday
