• Salary FTE- £30,000- £40,000 Depending on experience

Reed Crawley is working with a growing accountancy practice who are looking to add a Payroll Executive to their main office in Horsham. This role involves managing payroll activities for a diverse range of clients and requires a candidate who is adaptable, proficient in payroll software, and capable of working to strict deadlines.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Manage 80 monthly payrolls using Sage 50 Payroll, including director-only and small employee group payrolls, with a few extending up to 24 employees.
• Handle pension submissions primarily on Nest, with some on L&G and People’s Pension.
• Prepare and submit CIS returns.
• Liaise with HMRC to check PAYE under or overpayments and advise clients on due PAYE/NIC liabilities.
• Set up new clients in Sage 50 Payroll.
• Ensure compliance with holiday and NMW requirements, advising clients as necessary.
• Support bookkeepers and accountants with payroll journals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Payroll experience within an accounting practice
• Flexibility and adaptability in managing various payroll issues.
• Proficiency in Sage 50 Payroll, Excel, and Word.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong inclination towards developing client relationships.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
