Payroll Executive Opportunity - Part-Time

Office-Based Role | Reigate £35 FTE

A well-established and supportive accountancy practice is seeking a Payroll Executive to join their growing team on a part-time basis. The role will be primarily office-based, with options available across multiple locations including Faygate, Reigate, and Southwick.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid payroll experience who is looking for flexible hours and the chance to work in a friendly and collaborative environment. The current set-up is 2/3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing approximately 80 monthly payrolls using Sage 50 Payroll
• (mostly director-only or 1-5 employee payrolls, with a few larger or weekly schemes)
• Submitting pension contributions, primarily through Nest, with some L&G and People’s Pension schemes
• Preparing and submitting a small number of CIS returns
• Liaising with HMRC to resolve queries and advise clients on PAYE/NIC liabilities
• Setting up new clients in Sage 50 Payroll
• Advising clients on holiday pay and National Minimum Wage compliance
• Supporting internal teams with payroll journals

Person Specification:

• Flexible and solutions-focused approach to payroll issues
• Proficient in Sage 50 Payroll, as well as Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build client relationships
• Organised, deadline-driven, and capable of working independently
