Payroll Officer Part-Time - CIS Experience Essential

Join a well-established and growing business based in Sandbach as a part-time Payroll Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) payroll to take ownership of a key function in a friendly and supportive team environment.

The Role:

As Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of the company's payroll, including weekly CIS returns. This is a hands-on role that offers flexibility and autonomy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process weekly and monthly payrolls accurately, including starters, leavers, and adjustments

• Manage all CIS-related payroll duties, including verification, deductions, and submissions

• Ensure compliance with HMRC and all relevant payroll legislation

• Maintain accurate payroll records and reports

• Handle payroll queries from employees and subcontractors in a professional manner

• Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile payroll data

• Support year-end processes, including P60s and P11Ds

About You:

• Previous experience working in a payroll role, with proven CIS knowledge

• Strong understanding of current payroll legislation and HMRC regulations

• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

• Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Excel

• Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively

• A positive, can-do attitude and a team player
