The family includes a one-year-old child and a small dog. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, Wheathampstead offers a peaceful environment while maintaining excellent road access to St Albans and the surrounding areas. This role would ideally suit a dog-friendly professional housekeeper with an excellent eye for detail, capable of delivering impeccable cleanliness and handling delicate laundry with precision.

A professional housekeeper in this setting will be responsible for ensuring the home remains meticulously clean and well-presented at all times. This part-time position includes cleaning the home thoroughly, laundering clothing and household linens (some of them being garments requiring handwashing), and caring for wooden furniture to preserve its condition. No childcare or cooking duties are involved, enabling the successful candidate to focus solely on high-quality housekeeping. The household is calm, respectful, and values discretion and a pro-active approach.

This live-out role is ideal for a local candidate with easy access to Wheathampstead. Due to its semi-rural location, applicants will need to hold a valid driving licence and have access to reliable transport to ensure punctuality and convenience.

Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:                                                                     

• Cleaning all rooms to an impeccable standard, maintaining high levels of hygiene throughout the home.
  


• Performing household laundry duties, including handwashing of delicate fabrics.
  


• Maintaining and polishing wooden furniture to a high standard.
  


• Organising cleaning products and ensuring safe and efficient use of materials.
  


• Managing general housekeeping tasks with professionalism and attention to detail.
  


• Working efficiently without supervision, respecting household privacy and routines.
  


• Ensuring a pet-friendly approach and being comfortable around a small dog.
  


• No childcare or cooking required.
  

Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:
 

• Three or more years of private housekeeper experience
  


• Two excellent checkable references
  


• Conversational English
  


• UK working permit
