Perfect Household Staff is delighted to introduce a wonderful opportunity for a professional and experienced nanny to join a warm and welcoming family residing in the picturesque village of Burpham, Arundel, West Sussex. This is a permanent, part-time, live-out position ideally suited to a reliable and engaging nanny who is passionate about early years’ development and thrives in a countryside setting.

Burpham is a peaceful and idyllic rural village nestled within the South Downs National Park. Surrounded by rolling green hills, ancient woodlands and tranquil riverside walks, the area provides an ideal setting for outdoor play, creativity and nature-inspired learning. A short drive from the historic town of Arundel – famed for its mediaeval castle, charming cafés and rich heritage – Burpham offers an enchanting and safe environment for young children. As there is no nearby public transport, this role would be most suited to a candidate who drives.

The family has two young children aged 2.5 and 3.5, and are expecting a third child shortly. The mother will be at home, and the nanny’s primary responsibility will be to care for and engage the older two children with fun, stimulating activities. A confident, caring and proactive approach is essential, along with a warm and professional demeanour. The family also has two affectionate hairless cats, so a candidate comfortable around pets is a must.

This role is offered on a self-employed basis. Fluency in English is essential, and French-speaking candidates will be viewed favourably.

Main Duties of the Part-Time Nanny:

• Provide high-quality care for two children aged 2.5 and 3.5
  


• Plan and carry out engaging, age-appropriate educational activities
  


• Supervise outdoor play and outings in the local countryside
  


• Prepare simple meals and snacks for the children
  


• Support the emotional, physical and cognitive development of both children
  


• Work collaboratively with the mother, particularly around the arrival of the newborn
  


• Keep play areas tidy and manage basic childcare-related housekeeping
  


• Be comfortable in a home with two hairless cats
  

 Minimal Requirements for Part-Time Nanny:

• Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience as a nanny in private households
  


• Fluency in English; French is a bonus
  


• Self-employed status
  


• Energetic, reliable, and highly child-focused
  


• Non-smoker
  


• Driving licence preferred due to rural location
