Perfect Household Staff is proud to present a wonderful opportunity for an experienced, professional and discreet Housekeeper to join a warm and friendly family in Bearsden. This is a part-time, live-out role offering long-term stability and flexibility for the right candidate.
The household includes a professional couple, their 20-month-old child (with a second baby on the way), and a beloved large breed dog. Main property includes 4 bathrooms, 1 WC, large open-plan kitchen/living area, dining room, living room, and guest bedroom. The family is seeking a dependable individual who is highly organised, pet-friendly, and confident managing all aspects of housekeeping with minimal supervision.
This role will suit a proactive housekeeper with strong attention to detail, who takes pride in maintaining a clean, tidy, and well-ordered home while operating with professionalism and discretion.

Job Type: Permanent, Live-Out, Part-Time
Working Schedule: 15–20 hours per week; 4–5 hours per day (flexible days and hours)
Salary: £20 gross per hour (self-employed)

Full housekeeping duties:
- General cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and deep cleaning bathrooms and kitchens
- Maintenance of all living areas and family-used spaces
- Laundry and ironing (hand wash for delicates and sorting by care instructions)
- Tidying bedrooms, changing bedding, and maintaining children's rooms (no childcare involved)
- Emptying bins, loading/unloading dishwasher, and occasional clearing up after family events
- Accepting grocery deliveries and unpacking items
- Occasional errands (e.g., parcel drop-offs/pickups)
- Light cleaning of the attached granny flat (approx. every 4–6 weeks)
- Use of eco-friendly and family-safe cleaning products (Method cleaning range)
- Respectful care of sentimental furniture and artwork
- Maintaining clear communication with the principals and raising queries when needed\
- No cooking required at this time, though flexibility for future childcare and very basic meal prep is welcomed
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in private households
- Strong References
- Strong initiative, ability to manage tasks independently
- Respectful of boundaries and highly discreet
- UK work permit
- DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Pet- and child-friendly attitude
- Flexible to adjust to household needs (occasional changes in schedule may occur)
