Perfect Household Staff is proud to present an exceptional opportunity for a top-tier, part-time Housekeeper to join a highly private and refined residence in Devon, West Anstey. This permanent live-out position is ideal for a discreet, self-sufficient professional with outstanding attention to detail and proven experience working in high-value, art-filled homes.
The property includes a main house, a guest cottage, and several barns, situated on beautifully landscaped grounds. The main house, a five-bedroom loft-converted residence, is the primary living space, with three actively used bathrooms. The guest house is used occasionally for visiting friends and family.
The principals are immaculate and respectful, with a clear appreciation for precision, order, and trust. They are now seeking a long-term professional to become an integral part of the household, ideally someone who brings a strong sense of initiative and can confidently manage the estate independently, particularly when the principals travel.

Position Type: Permanent, Part-time, Live-Out
Location: Devon, West Anstey, UK
Working Days: Monday to Friday (5 days/week); from 10am/11 am - 2pm
Working Hours: 15-20 hours/week

Salary: £20 – £22 gross per hour
Start Date: 28th of July

Pets: None currently, but pet-friendly mindset required for future plans
Driving: Full UK driving licence + own vehicle required
Key Responsibilities:
- General cleaning, laundry and ironing
- Washing, drying and ironing bedding
- Light household maintenance (e.g. changing light bulbs, setting moth traps)
- Having our cashmere dry cleaned and properly stored during the off-season
- Carefully dusting and caring for fine art, including pots and paintings
- Helping to plan and host occasional dinner parties (e.g., laying the table)
- Polishing silverware
- Liaising with local tradespeople to mend curtains, reupholster furniture, etc.
- Maintaing the property while we’re traveling and managing the alarm system
- Running local errands (e.g. grocery shopping, posting packages, dropping off and picking
- up dry cleaning or clothing alterations)
- Occasional light meal prep (e.g., helping to chop vegetables for dinner)
- Occasional cooking would be very nice but is not a requirement
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in similar private domestic roles
- Great checkable references
- Strong housekeeping and garment care knowledge
- Eco-conscious: comfortable using non-toxic, eco-friendly cleaning products
- Full UK driving licence and personal vehicle required
- Fluent in English
- Non-smoker
- Professional appearance is required (no visible tattoos or face/body piercings during working hours)
