Year 3 Primary Teacher – Maternity Cover

Mainstream Primary School | West Sussex | Start After October Half Term

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed Year 3 Teacher to join a welcoming mainstream primary school on a maternity cover basis.

The role is due to start after the October half term, although an earlier start would be welcomed where possible to allow for a smooth handover and transition with the current teacher.

The successful teacher will take responsibility for a Year 3 class, delivering engaging and inclusive lessons while creating a positive, supportive and nurturing classroom environment. There are a few pupils within the class with additional SEN needs, so the school is looking for a teacher who is confident in adapting their teaching and providing appropriate support to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum and thrive.

The ideal candidate will:

* Have experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3

* Be an enthusiastic and creative classroom practitioner

* Have strong classroom management skills

* Be confident supporting pupils with a range of SEN needs

* Be able to differentiate and adapt lessons to meet individual needs

* Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues

* Work effectively with the SENCO and wider support team

* Be committed to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT with relevant Year 3/KS2 experience to join a supportive school and make a real impact during the maternity cover period.
