Primary Teaching Assistant - Shoreham by Sea

Contract: Full-Time | Term-Time Only
Start Date: September 2025 (or ASAP)
Salary: £85 - £100 per day (depending on experience)

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Shoreham-by-Sea is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in a dynamic classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences
• Provide individual and small group support, including for pupils with additional needs
• Help create a positive and engaging learning environment
• Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and general support
• Encourage and support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting
• A genuine interest in supporting primary-aged pupils
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• A current DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one

Desirable:

• A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2 or 3)
• Experience supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
• Knowledge of the UK Primary Curriculum
