An 'Outstanding' Primary School in the Borough of Barnet are seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant (Part Time) to join their fantastic team in September 2025! This is a Long-Term, Part-Time (only mornings) position that will involving working in the school for at least the full academic year.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant (Part Time), you will be responsible for working alongside the class teacher to support students in and out of lessons, enabling children to meet their academic targets. You will have the opportunity to work with children across Reception - Year 6, working with them on a 1:1 and small group basis.

This role also involves working with students with SEND/SEMH needs including ASD, ADHD and more. The Head Teacher is therefore keen to trial/interview candidates with prior SEND experience as this will be a large part of the role. Previous experience working with children is also essential.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Primary Teaching Assistant (Part Time)
• Working with children aged 4-11 years in and out of the classroom
• Supporting students with SEND/SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis, focusing on Phonics and Reading
• Helping class teachers to deliver lesson material and meet academic targets

ROLE DETAILS

• Based in Barnet
• Monday - Friday, Term-Time only
• Long-Term, Part-Time role - 8.30am - 12:00pm
• September 2025 Start
• £105 - £115 per day
