Primary - Year 1 Teacher Part Time

We are looking for a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis for maternity cover, starting on the 22nd of April. This role involves a job share with another teacher and includes full teaching responsibilities such as planning and marking. Located in the supportive community of Shorne, Kent, this position is ideal for someone who is looking for a flexible teaching role.

• Collaborate with another teacher to plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and educational lessons appropriate for Year 1 students.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and writing reports as required.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive and conducive learning environment.
• Participate in staff meetings and school training sessions to continuously develop professional skills.
• Ensure continuity of teaching and learning in collaboration with the job share partner, maintaining high educational standards.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a primary school setting, ideally with Year 1 students.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, capable of effectively managing a job share arrangement.
• Proficient in planning, assessment, and classroom management.
