Principal Planning Officer

We’re currently looking for an experienced Principal Planning Officer to join a dynamic planning team on a flexible, part-time basis.

• Location: County Hall Haverfordwest (remote/hybrid working options available)
• Hours: 22 hours per week
• Rate: £30.00 per hour umbrella

About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled planning professional to manage a varied caseload of major planning applications and pre-application enquiries, including:

• Screening and scoping opinions for EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) development
• Residential, commercial, industrial, and energy-related schemes
• Providing expert advice on complex planning matters
• Supporting the council’s delivery of sustainable, well-planned development

What we’re looking for:

• An experienced planning officer, ideally with a background in major applications and EIA development
• Strong report writing and caseload management skills
• Ability to work flexibly with remote and hybrid working options
