Property Solicitor (Local Authority) - Part-Time, Remote/Hybrid

Location: Remote, Hybrid, or Office-Based
Rate: Up to £50 per hour
Duration: 4-6 months
Hours: 22 hours per week over 3 days

We are looking for an experienced Property Solicitor to join a busy local authority legal services team. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and skilled legal professional with solid property law experience to take on a diverse caseload covering both residential and commercial property matters.

• Handling commercial property portfolio and residential transactions.

• Advising on statutory residential property matters and Council charges.

• Managing lease renewals, title queries, and Land Registry processes.

• Advising on local government law in relation to property development.

• Managing your own varied caseload in compliance with Lexcel standards.

• Providing legal support on land, property, and highway matters.

• Attending meetings and advising client departments as required.

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with current practising certificate.

• Significant post-qualification experience in property law.

• Previous experience working with or for a local authority.

• Residential and commercial property experience essential.

• Comfortable managing a high-volume caseload part-time.

• Willingness to take on tasks outside of usual specialism if needed.

• Strong drafting, communication, and advisory skills.

• Experience with case management systems and MS Office.

• Knowledge of highways and planning law.

• Use of Iken or similar legal case management systems.

• Flexible working - remote, hybrid, or in-office options available.
