Proportionate Care Project Occupational Therapist

Slough Borough Council is currently recruiting a motivated Occupational Therapist to join their dynamic Proportionate Care Project. This is a hands-on role ideal for an OT passionate about maximising independence through smart, proportionate support. The role offers a full-time contract, manageable caseload, and flexible working options.

This vacancy will be for an initial 3-6 months, with a strong chance of extension.

• Carrying out specialist moving and handling risk assessments

• Trialling and recommending appropriate equipment to reduce care needs

• Supporting service users with proportionate care plans to promote independence

• Working within a supportive project team alongside senior clinicians

• Safeguarding vulnerable adults and ensuring dignity and respect throughout practice

• Experience as a community-based Occupational Therapist

• Confident in manual handling techniques and equipment provision

• Understanding of proportionate care principles

• HCPC Registration

• Enhanced DBS (can be arranged by us)

• Eligibility to work in the UK

• Recognised Occupational Therapy degree or equivalent
