Job Description - Purchase Admin

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager:

  • Consistently represent the company, its products, services, and values in a professional manner.
  • Ensure goods are sourced efficiently, delivered on time, and within budget constraints.
  • Monitor supplier performance to maintain high standards of quality and service.
  • Manage stock control and address invoicing queries effectively.

Key Tasks:

  • Collaborate closely with production, stores, estimating, sales support, accounts, and projects departments.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders to suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Negotiate costs and compare prices with alternative suppliers.
  • Provide the projects department with information on delivery dates and any budget concerns.
  • Accurately price goods/materials in the system against projects from MR's, ensuring correct contract costing.
  • Gather information for stock control and resolve discrepancies with stores and accounts.
  • Maintain inventory of stationery and office equipment.

About the role:

  • 3 - 4 month contract
  • 3 days per week, with flexibility on days to be worked.
