Purchase Ledger Assistant - p/t

We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Assistant to join a friendly finance team based in Bristol on a part time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their finance career in a supportive and flexible working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Processing supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
* Matching purchase orders and delivery notes to invoices
* Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies
* Preparing payment runs and ensuring timely payments to suppliers
* Assisting with month-end procedures and reporting
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
* Liaising with suppliers and internal departments to handle queries

Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar purchase ledger or accounts payable role
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) is advantageous
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* AAT qualification (or working towards) is desirable but not essential
