Purchasing Controller

A well-established manufacturing company in the West Midlands is seeking a Purchasing Controller to join their team on a part-time, on-site basis.

This company produces high-quality niche products for a global customer base, using a wide range of manufacturing processes. You’ll be responsible for sourcing critical materials such as chemicals, resins, and steel components, as well as managing procurement for contractors, consumables, and equipment.

In this role, you will:

• Manage and optimise supplier relationships and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Negotiate contracts and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Lead procurement projects in collaboration with technical and R&D teams.
• Contribute to strategic sourcing by identifying local suppliers and reducing import costs.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has previous purchasing experience.
• Brings a technical, engineering, or manufacturing background.
• Is highly organised, analytical, and proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Has a UK driving licence and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
