Position: School Caretaker (Bank staff)
Location: Doncaster
Pay Rate: £13.68-£15.68 per hour

We are seeking dedicated and reliable School Caretakers to join our team on a bank staff basis, working across a variety of schools in Doncaster. This role offers both long and short-term placements, providing a unique opportunity to gain diverse experience in different educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of school premises.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ensure the security of the school buildings and grounds.
• Assist with setting up and taking down equipment for school events.
• Respond to any emergencies or urgent issues that arise during shifts.

Requirements:

• Must hold a valid driving licence or strong transport links.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service is essential.
• Willingness to work split shifts.
• Flexibility to work across different schools and adapt to varying schedules.

About the Role: As a bank caretaker, also known as a relief or interim caretaker, you will provide temporary cover for regular caretakers who may be absent due to illness, holidays, or other reasons. This role involves stepping in to ensure that the essential duties of maintaining and securing the premises are carried out without interruption. You will work on an as-needed basis, which can include both short-term and long-term placements across various locations. This flexibility allows you to gain experience in multiple settings and adapt to different environments, making it a dynamic and varied role.
