Location: Remote (Occasional travel required)

Our client is seeking experienced and technically qualified Fire Engineers to provide expert advice on high-risk building projects, support Gateway 2 applications, and strengthen the building control system across England.
This is a key opportunity to join a forward-thinking team focused on cultural change, safety improvement, and regulatory excellence in the built environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical fire engineering advice for complex and high-risk buildings (HRBs)
Lead on Gateway 2 application reviews
Draft specialist technical reports and act as an expert witness where required
Support site inspections, compliance assessments, and enforcement actions
Apply relevant fire safety standards (e.g. BS 9999, BS 7974) and the Building Safety Act 2022
Essential Requirements
Substantial experience in fire safety design and assessment of HRBs
In-depth knowledge of building control processes and relevant legislation
Proficiency in applying Approved Documents and fire engineering standards
Level 6 qualification (degree level) in a relevant discipline (e.g. Building Studies, Construction, Civil Engineering, Surveying)
