Job Title: Family & Probate solicitor -Private Client Solicitor
Location: East London (Hybrid/Remote)
Commitment: 4/5 Days a Week | Self-Supervising
Salary full time basis £55,000 to £60,000 pro rata

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Family & Private Client Solicitor on a consultancy basis. This role is ideal for a self-supervising solicitor with expertise in all areas of private family law, including surrogacy law, as well as wills, probate, and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs).

Key Responsibilities

• Handling a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, financial relief, and children’s proceedings.

• Advising and representing clients on surrogacy and assisted reproduction law.

• Managing private client matters, including drafting wills, handling probate cases, and preparing LPAs.

• Conducting casework independently with minimal supervision.

• Providing high-quality legal advice and ensuring excellent client care.

• Supervising or mentoring junior staff where necessary.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with at least 5 years PQE in family and private client law.

• Strong experience in private family law, including financial and children matters.

• Expertise in surrogacy law and assisted reproduction matters.

• Proven track record in wills, probate, contest probates and LPAs.

• Self-supervising with the ability to manage caseloads independently.

• Strong communication and client management skills.

• Flexible working: 4/5 days a week with the option for hybrid/remote work.

• Established practice: Work with a respected East London firm with a history of over 25 years in specialist legal services.
