Job Description - Residential Officer WEEKEND ROLE

Residential Officer (Weekend Role)
Rate: £12.21 per hour
Hours: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday

We are seeking a committed and proactive Residential Officer to support and supervise students in our college residences, ensuring their wellbeing and safety during weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

Support and supervise students in residential accommodation, promoting a safe and inclusive environment.
Oversee social and sporting activities during evenings and weekends to encourage student participation and engagement.
Monitor the condition of residential, sporting, and social facilities, reporting any maintenance issues or concerns.
Patrol campus and accommodation buildings, working closely with security personnel to maintain safety.
Maintain acceptable standards of student behaviour outside of normal timetabled hours, fostering a respectful community.

Person Specification:

Relevant professional qualification or proven experience in a similar role.
Experience working with vulnerable adults and/or young people; recognised as a trusted and respected individual.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Confident, empathetic, and calm under pressure when responding to incidents or emergencies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and approachable attitude.
Committed to actively promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Contract Positions
