We are currently seeking a Rail / Rolling Stock Maintenance Engineer to join our nightshift engineering team. This is a rare opportunity for an individual with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys working on heavy-duty rail vehicles, overhauling components, and ensuring rolling stock remains safe, reliable, and operational.
 
Key Responsibilities of the Rolling Stock Maintenance Engineer

Carry out maintenance, inspections, repairs, and overhauls on rail vehicles and mechanical systems.
Use specialised hand and power tools to complete daily tasks to industry standards.
Assist with fault-finding, diagnostics, and component replacement on rolling stock.
Work as part of an experienced nightshift engineering team to ensure fleet safety, reliability, and availability. 
Requirements of the Rolling Stock Maintenance Engineer

Previous experience within rail, rolling stock, mechanical engineering, plant, HGV, or similar (preferred but not essential).
Strong practical skills and confidence working with mechanical tools and equipment.
Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working permanent night shifts.
A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
