Scheme Manager

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Scheme Manager in the Wirral on a part-time basis for a minimum of 6 months until at least the end of January 2026. This is a 20-hour per-week role, working 9am to 2pm across 4 days.

Your new role

• Ensuring compliance with health & safety requirements and legislation, carrying out periodic checks and following up on audits
• Undertake resident welfare checks
• Assisting with voids, allocations lettings, viewings and signups
• Managing customer rent accounts including those in arrears and taking appropriate preventative arrears actions to minimise tenancy failure and maximise income
• Repairs and maintenance coordination - identifying issues, raising work orders and managing reactive repairs on site
• Creating and maintaining a positive environment for resident engagement, organising and facilitating activities and encouraging involvement
• Responding and managing cases of ASB and other tenancy breaches
• Assisting with benefit and tenancy related queries, providing advice and guidance, signposting where appropriate
• Responding to general enquiries, complaints and queries from customers, stakeholders and community members

What you'll need to succeed

• Good knowledge and understanding of housing and tenancy management legislation and best practice, ideally having worked in Older People's housing services with an understanding of issues faced by older people
• An understanding of welfare benefits and ability to provide low level advice/guidance
• Experience of managing low level ASB
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
• Confident lone worker with the ability to manage conflicting priorities
