Supply Heroes are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and well-regarded Primary School in Redditch (B98) for an experienced School Caretaker to provide additional site support. The school is looking for a reliable, proactive and hands-on Caretaker who can start as soon as possible. The role has the potential to become a long-term position for the right candidate.

About the Role

As the School Caretaker, you will play a key role in maintaining the safety, security and overall presentation of the school site. You will be responsible for ensuring the premises remain welcoming, clean, secure and operational at all times.

Duties will include:

* Opening and securing the school premises

* Carrying out routine site inspections and security checks

* Undertaking minor repairs and maintenance works

* Monitoring heating, plumbing and electrical systems

* Liaising with contractors and overseeing works on site

* General grounds maintenance and upkeep of outdoor areas

* Assisting with deliveries and porterage duties

* Carrying out health and safety checks across the site

* Responding promptly to maintenance issues and hazards

* Supporting the school in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

* Previous experience as a School Caretaker, Site Manager or Facilities Assistant within a school environment

* Good practical skills covering basic maintenance, repairs and site management

* Knowledge of health and safety procedures within educational settings

* The ability to work independently and use initiative

* Strong organisational and communication skills

* A proactive and flexible approach to work

* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
