School Catering Assistant

We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and hardworking Catering Assistant to join our clients dedicated kitchen team. You will help prepare and serve nutritious, balanced meals to pupils and staff, ensuring high standards of hygiene and food safety are maintained at all times.

• Assist in the preparation, cooking, and serving of school meals
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, and dining areas
• Follow food hygiene and health & safety guidelines at all times
• Support with setting up and clearing down the dining area before and after lunch
• Help with stock rotation and basic food storage tasks
• Engage positively with children and staff during service
• Work as part of a team under the direction of the Catering Manager/Cook

• Previous experience in a catering or food service role (preferred, but not essential)
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred)

• Monday - Friday, 9:30am to 1:30pm - This position will only be during the school term time.
