Salary: £18,000 - £20,000

The Role:

Veritas Education are working with a number of complex care school settings within the Leeds and West Yorkshire area, looking to recruit permanent school healthcare support staff. The schools are fantastic facilities set up to cater for some of the most complex physical, medical and learning needs.

A school healthcare support staff member will….

• Assist with personal care, hygiene support and toilet assistance.
• Work on a 1:1 basis with a range of complex physical, medical and learning needs.
• Support students from primary to post 16 age groups.
• Support with moving and handling duties, alongside wheelchair and other mobility support.
• Work in unison with medical professionals, physio therapists, support staff and NHS based services in providing an inclusive and safe environment.
• Assist in helping all students access all elements of their specialised educational timetable and sessions.
• Be confident in providing professional, caring and appropriate care for complex needs, developing an in-depth knowledge of best practise and learning students needs, plans and requirements.

This role is ideal for anyone looking at transferring previous experience of supporting either children or adults with complex care requirements from nursing, healthcare, support worker or care backgrounds!
